Cut-Optimizer

Your guide to getting the best cutting results.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

Note: You must be logged in to use the Cut-Optimizer tool.

Step 1: Enter Cut Name

This can be any name to identify the cutting operation, e.g., Cut1.

Step 2: Enter Material Name

Specify the material you're working with, such as Aluminum Rod or Steel Pipe.

Step 3: Enter Base Length

Input the full length of the material bar you are cutting from, e.g., 6000 (cm, mm, or inches).

Step 4: Add Desired Cuts

For each cut, specify the desired length and quantity, then click Add. Use Remove to delete a row.

Step 5: Select Unit

Choose from cm, mm, or inches.

Step 6: Click Submit

The app will calculate and generate the optimal cutting layout.


Step 7: Review Input Summary

You'll see your entered cut name, material, and all dimensions listed.

Step 8: Review Cut Layout

Each layout shows bar usage, cut placements, and waste percentage.

Step 9: View All Layouts

Scroll to see all optimized bars and leftover waste.

Step 10: Summary and Export

Summary includes total used length, waste, and export options: PDF, CSV, Excel, or Print.

Step 11: Recalculate

Click Calculate Again to modify and rerun the optimization.
